Nicaraguan Relief Society (NRS), a non profit organization, was established in 1976 and has been active since that time. Its purpose is to provide assistance to the people of Nicaragua and of Latin America. Throughout its life NRS has emphasized and concentrated its assistance in three areas:

Social projects

Recently the emphasis has been in securing donations of medical equipment from hospitals in Southern California, mainly Huntington Memorial Hospital of Pasadena, and shipping them and giving monetary assistance for its installation to several hospitals in Nicaraguan cities, Managua, Jinotepe, Rivas, and Puerto Cabezas. We also provide monetary and other assistance to poor retirement homes, children’s day care institutions, and primary schools.

NRS is a non profit organization registered with the State of California and the Federal Government, its corporate number are: State of California C0902542000, Federal 95-3367381. Contributions are tax deductible.
